Through artists telling their stories, and acting as role models, Show & Tell aims to create a realistic idea of what it is to be a professional artist today.
Artists will talk about their own practice - in the widest sense - from their choice of subject matter, themes, and inspirations to getting shown, and their daily routine and studio practice. Concentrating on practical ways to sustain a practice, through good times and bad, success and disappointment, we ask experienced mid-career artists: how did you get where you are today and how do you survive as an artist?
